New Appointments at Trinity Western University -- School of Human Kinetics

Trinity Western University has appointed Dr. Blair Whitmarsh as the Director of the University's new School of Human Kinetics. As Director he will have senior administrative responsibility for the operation and development of this growing academic area.

As a graduate of TWU, Dr. Whitmarsh is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, sport psychologist for the Canadian National Ringette Team, and has served as a consultant for a variety of local, regional, and national athletic teams. In 1996 he was the psychologist for the Team Canada Ringette when they won a gold medal at the World Championships. It was also in that year that Dr. Whitmarsh began his service to TWU. .

Trinity Western University, located in Langley, B.C., is a not-for-profit Christian liberal arts university enrolling over 3,200 students this year. With a broad based, liberal arts and sciences curriculum, the University offers undergraduate degrees in 38 major areas of study ranging from business, education and computer science to biology and nursing, and 12 other graduate degrees including counseling psychology, theology and administrative leadership.
