Master biblical storyteller at TWU

Progressive scholarship is discovering that since the Enlightenment, biblical studies have somewhat ignored the reality that the Bible's narrative texts were largely experienced as performances in community. As a result, scholars have revived the age-old tradition recognizing the power of storytelling to take narrative texts from “then and there” and presents them as powerful story experiences in the “here and now.” The recovery of biblical storytelling is especially appropriate today as our post-literate, digital culture is secondarily oral.
