Photo Caption: Food for Fines a success!

(L to R) Janet Kreiter, Library Circulation Assistant; Dani Payne, Student Counter Assistant; and Shawn Brouwer, Library Circulation Coordinator at Trinity Western University, show an overflowing shopping cart demonstrating the success of “Food for Fines.” From November 15 to 19, the TWU library gave students the chance to bring in a can of food for the Langley Food Bank in exchange for fine cancellation. The preliminary results show that students donated over 400 items and the library forgave nearly $1,100 in overdue fines. Many students without fines got into the spirit of generosity and brought in items as well.
