Cruising with TWU: TWU founding-president's last public lecture will be on the high seas

While voyaging along the Mexican Riviera this September, TWU alumni, students and sea-lovers alike will not only enjoy the luxuries that accompany a sun-filled cruise vacation, they will also be surrounded by the Trinity Western community and the academia it's known for. Cal Hanson, PhD, TWU's founding president, will be on board Carnival's Pride providing the ship's daily devotionals. This will be the last public appearance by the retired president.

Joining the list of speakers is Don Page, PhD, founder of TWU's Master of Arts and Leadership program (MAL). Dr. Page has been continually recognized by Canada's Who's Who, thanks to his extensive political involvement, including speech-writing for three Prime Ministers and five Ministers of Foreign Affairs. Page will speak on “Leadership in the Marketplace.”

For those interested in religious studies, the University has also invited Peter Flint, PhD, Co-Director of TWU's Dead Sea Scrolls Institute and Canada's Research Chair for Dead Sea Scrolls. Co-editor of the Dead Sea Scrolls Bible and editor of 25 Dead Sea Scrolls—including the famed Isaiah Scroll—Dr. Flint is part of an elite group of Scrolls editors, of which there are only 70 worldwide.
