And now we have three!

The students have spoken and again have voted that Trinity Western University should receive an A+ for Quality of Education in the Globe and Mail Canadian University Report Card. This marks the third consecutive A+ the Christian liberal arts university has received in this category since 2006.

The yearly report card which ranks 58 schools "reflects the opinion of more than 43,400 current undergraduate students and the results are derived from answers to more than 100 questions," says the Globe and Mail explaining their methodology.

TWU falls into the Very Small category of schools with enrollment under 4000 students and competes in this group with 14 other schools matching student population. But the A+ in quality of education was not the only A+ TWU received. TWU received a total six A+'s in the categories of: most satisfied students, quality of teaching, student faculty interaction, class size, ease of course registration and quality of education.

"We aren't really surprised by TWU receiving its third A+ in quality of education," says, Dr. Dennis Jameson, TWU's Provost. "We are however extremely grateful that our students are seeing and recognizing our collective effort to provide the highest quality of transformative education. The faculty that TWU attracts is some of the best in the world and brings with them innovative instructor styles, real-life teaching opportunities and internships that not only educate but have immense impact."

TWU has been aggressively channeling resources into its academics. Highlighted as the main component of the University's Strategic Direction unveiled by TWU President Dr. Jonathan Raymond in Fall 2008, the vision for TWU is to be "renowned for its educational vitality: Educating, Transforming, and Impacting the world through the wisdom and enterprise of its students of its alumni/ae, faculty, and staff," says the 19-page visionary document.

TWU also scored high marks in course availability, student services, recreation and athletics, campus atmosphere, extra-curricular activities, career preparation and academic reputation.

Along with almost every other university in the report card, the only D students gave TWU was in the category of food services. I guess nothing can beat mom's home cooking after all!

The 2009 rankings are presented in association with The Strategic Counsel and Educational Policy Institute.
