McMASTER TAKES SERIES

HAMILTON - The Trinity Western University men's volleyball team fell in 3-0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-18) in their final match of a three match series against the McMaster University Marauders Saturday night in Hamilton.

Trinity Western battled hard through the first two sets, but the extra point loss in the second set seemed to take the spark out of the Spartans.

"We had a pretty good match the whole way through. The third set we were a little down, but the first two sets were really good volleyball. We just came out on the short end of it," commented TWU head coach Ben Josephson. "It was a pretty good series against a very good team. They were very physical and I thought our guys battled hard and showed some progress on some of the key things that we have been working on."

McMaster took all three matches of the three match series.

The Spartans will now travel to Guelph for a match against the University of Guelph tomorrow afternoon. Next week TWU is off to Edmonton for their annual appearance at the Can-Am challenge at the University of Alberta.

No official stats were kept for the match.
