Men's Hockey - Win All Day, Every Day

The Trinity Western men's hockey team earned an upset win over Simon Fraser in the first round of the 2013-14 playoffs. With the victory, the Spartans advanced to the BCIHL championship series for the first time in program history. This is Championship Week.

LANGLEY, British Columbia - Robert Rodriguez had never seen his dad cry before. But the day Rodriguez walked across the stage and officially graduated from Sacramento’s Sheldon High School in 2006, Brown couldn’t help himself. Rodriguez was the first of Brown’s eight children and his only son to complete high school.

LANGLEY, British Columbia - Taylor Heinrichs is trying to pull a Kelly Olynyk. And if he can do something that even resembles a faint shadow of what the seven-foot Olynyk, who was selected in the first round of the 2013 NBA draft, both the 6-foot-7 Heinrichs and the Trinity Western men’s basketball team will on their way towards a successful season.

LANGLEY, British Columbia - Nick Del Bianco has long been considered one of the hottest up-and-coming volleyball start in the country. After a breakout campaign in his third year with Trinity Western – one in which finished fifth in Canada West averaging 4.30 points per set – Del Bianco has returned for his fourth year as one of the Spartans key leaders, both on and off the court.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – One year after the Trinity Western women’s soccer team went on a missions trip to South Africa and Swaziland, coach Graham Roxburgh, along with defender Melissa Demeda (Surrey, B.C.) returned to Africa, alongside Athletes in Action, this summer on a women’s soccer missions trip that took them to Malawi and Swaziland.

At Victoria, BC’s Centennial Stadium, the Trinity Western University Spartans women’s soccer team has played two regular-time and two overtime periods to a scoreless draw against the two-time defending champions, the Queen’s University Gaels. The Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) National Championship will be decided by penalty kicks.
