(25-11, 25-15, 25-14)

Match goes to the Dog’s

Langley, British Columbia –
On Friday, November 17 the Trinity Western University women’s team fell to the 7th ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-14) in Canada West league play.

The Spartans attack was limited against the Huskies, as they finished the match with a 7% kill efficiency.

“We had trouble passing the ball tonight, which inhibited us from getting any kind of sustained attack from our hitters,” said TWU head coach Carol Hofer. “We are looking for a much better job tomorrow night.”

The Spartans were led by Lies Verhoeff (2nd year, middle, Calgary, AB) 5 kills and Kristen Groot (1st year, power, Burnaby, BC) 4 kills and 5 digs.

The Huskies were led by Amanda Hagel 12 kills and 11 digs.

The two teams play again Saturday, November 18 at the University of Saskatchewan. Game time in Saskatoon, SK is set for 6:30 PM.
