Langley, BC— The TWU Music Department is hosting an evening of Chamber Music on Wednesday, April 7th. Featuring the TWU Guitar Ensemble and Woodwind Quintet, the concert includes an eclectic and entertaining variety of music ranging from the 17th to the 20th century.

The Guitar Ensemble will present a fugue by Bach, a Jimi Hendrix tune and selections from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”  Franz Danzi’s Quintet in E-flat will be performed by the Woodwind Quintet, alongside “Three Wonderland Rags” by William Ryden.  Each of these ragtime pieces depicts a different character from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.

The Chamber Music Evening will be held in the Instrumental Rehearsal Hall of TWU’s Music Building on April 7th at 7:30 pm.  Admission is by donation, with a suggested donation of $5.

This event is part of the Festival of the Arts, Media and Culture at Trinity Western University, April 6-16 — two weeks of art, literature, music, film, and theatre events that showcase and celebrate the creative activity of TWU students and faculty.
