Laurentian Leadership Centre

TWU's Laurentian Leadership Centre (LLC), located in Canada's capital city of Ottawa, is an one-of-a kind internship program for third and fourth year university students. Apply what you have learned in the classroom to a real-life work setting. Build your resume and open doors to exciting possibilities.

The internship is the distinguishing feature of the LLC experience.  The director of the LLC works with each student to develop an internship that is relevant to their academic and career interests. Past internships have included the highest level of government, including the Prime Minister's Office, as well as Non-Government Organizations (NGO's), and Media.

Students of all majors are encouraged to apply at the LLC. All students take three interdisciplinary courses covering leadership, public policy, ethics, and contemporary culture. Eligible students will earn a certificate in Leadership and Applied Public Affairs.

Each semester 23 students call the LLC home.  As one of Ottawa's National Historic Sites, the LLC is a historic mansion in the heart of downtown Ottawa - just nine blocks from Parliament Hill. Students share living space, meals, and classes.  Ottawa is a beautiful city with unlimited Canadian culture.
