Health Insurance

TWU is committed to helping students develop and grow during their university education. This includes ensuring that students’ health care needs are provided for while they study. To ensure this, TWU requires all non-Canadian students who reside in B.C. during the academic year to enrol in the British Columbia Medical Services Plan (BCMSP). Out-of-province Canadian students must make appropriate arrangements with their provincial health care bodies. BCMSP provides for all basic health care needs and helps students avoid surprise medical bills.

When you arrive on campus for orientation, Trinity Western staff will provide information about BCMSP, sign you up for both interim health care coverage and BCMSP.

The annual cost of insurance is approximately $900 (Cdn). This cost covers interim health care coverage for three months and BCMSP coverage for nine months.

For more coverage details please see the BCMSP Website.
